Our building in the West End of Vancouver has used Liberty Cleaners for a number of years, but the service levels of the business has declined over that period of time. In 2007, we had a black coat put in for cleaning, which was clearly marked wash only - and whatever they did removed some of the dye, leaving white speckles all over it where the dye used to be. It was a fairly new coat but we decided not to complain as we had never had problems there before. In 2008, we put in a number of items including three sweaters, which were also to be washed only. However the sweaters were washed, the dye has been removed from them and a sticky film was left on the sweaters. We promptly called them to complain about the sweaters and she told me to take the sweaters back to the store where we bought them from - that they would return my money. We couldn't believe the answer they gave us! She was yelling at us on the phone, and would not listen to our concerns, nor would she say how they could resolve the problem. ...
